LAS?VEGAS?(AP) ? A county elected official wants to restrict panhandlers? pets on the?Las?Vegas?Strip.
Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani (jun-killy-AH?-nee) is set to introduce an ordinance Tuesday that could restrict animals on sidewalks and pedestrian bridges in the tourist corridor from Sahara Avenue to Sunset Road.
The?Las?Vegas?Sun reports (http://bit.ly/vlebls?) that seeing eye dogs and other service animals, and pets belonging to people who live near the Strip would be exempt.
So would parade animals and animals belonging to a licensed business or the government.
Commissioner Steve Sisolak tells the Sun he has a few questions about the idea, including how the ordinance might affect tourists who want to take their pet for a stroll on the Strip.
