It may not be surprising to learn that Nick Lachey has not spoken to his ex-wife Jessica Simpson in at least six years and doesn't curl up with old DVDs of "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica." But the 98 Degrees singer had more to say about Simpson's father during a lively appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" on Tuesday.
In the hot seat during the show's "Plead the Fifth" segment, Lachey chose not to hold back when host Andy Cohen asked him what the best part of not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law anymore.
?I don?t have to play grab-ass under the table on Easter Sunday!? The curious answer drew laughs and groans from the audience, and Cohen even admitted that he was "blushing." The host later tweeted: "Give it up to @NickSLacheywho set a new standard for #PleadTheFifth!"
Nick's brother Drew quickly and correctly assessed: "Our publicist is freaking out right now."
Earlier in the show, Nick, who is now married to Vanessa Minnillo, said his marriage to Simpson feels "like another lifetime ago."
That's probably not true today.
