FDA: Chinese Jerky Treat Deaths Still a Mystery
- After over five years of testing, the FDA still hasn?t solved the mystery of why chicken jerky dog treats manufactured in China caused illness and even fatalities in certain dogs. To date, the agency has received?1,000 consumer complaints about the treats, and a class action lawsuit has been filed by dog owners in eight states against Nestle Purina, which manufactures the treats.

Veterinary Genetics Lab can tell whether your kitty?s parents or grandparents belonged to one of 29 ?major fancy breeds? or just your garden variety alley cat. ?The test, which is reported to be 90% accurate, can be ordered online.
